Instructions and what items I used to make the trash to terracotta vases.
The first step is to source your vases or items to paint. A day hitting all your local second-hand shops or car boots. This might help you get a great collection together but you will most likely struggle to find a lot of the same vases.
Because of this I used bought vases that are affordable enough for you to buy in bulk and easy to get hold of.
Once you have your vases you need your paint and baking powder. In this guide, I used white paint as I will be using it for a winter wonderland set up. Any water-based acrylic paint will work.
These vases are a great option. Only 50p.
They have some lovely bud vase choices.
Any water-based acrylic paint will work.
Paint your items with a thick coat. I found two coats were needed when painting most items. Try not to put too much pressure to create paint lines.
And you are done! It is a super simple DIY for your wedding or event. You only need a few items and follow a few steps to have stunning ceramic effect items to wow your guests.
I hope you enjoyed this trash to terracotta DIY as much as I enjoyed making them. If you do go ahead and make some yourself then please send me some pictures! Tag @theeventdesigntoolkit or @zoeylouisedesign on insta for a re-share your makes.
